Harry Potter Books

Hiya My 8 year old grandson has put 'Harry Potter Books' on his list to Santa, just in case Santa is not familiar with this product, can anyone point him in the direction of a full set of the 7 in paperback and also ther junior editions please?

oh well done jessie thats a point! my son has the HBs and so i just went up to count them before i posted my Q., cheers, i would have been searching the book shops for a non-existant edition there!

I believe the latest one is available in audiobook format, though, if that's of any interest. I've found that even good readers appreciate audiobooks.

My 7 year old son started reading them a few weeks ago and read the first 3 with no bother, but he is struggling with the 4th as they do become much more adult in content as the series goes on. I started them at the same time and am now on book 7 (I bought it seperately) so I can appreciate that it not only becomes harder because of the language used, they become much darker in content.

I think that you will probabaly find the same with your grandson, so I would either go for the set of 6 at a good price, or even get a set of the first 3, as it will probably be a year or two before he is ready for the later books.

I would thoroughly recommend them though to stretch his reading and to get him really interested in "grown up" books.

I know this question was a long time ago but I thought you might be interested that Amazon bought the 'Tales of Beadle the Bard' Harry Potter book that JK Rowling auctioned for charity (it featured in HP7). On their site (sorry not got link) they have lots of pictures of the book and a brief outline of each of the 5 stories in it. It is quite interesting if you enjoy Harry Potter.
