I am booked to read a story at an evening of storytelling this week. What do you consider to be a good yarn in the oral tradition?

Adult audience as it is an evening do in a bar. I have been told I can tell any story I like and have been encouraged to talk about something from my childhood but dramatise it a bit! My childhood wasn't exactly all fun and games though so I might have to de-dramatise it or risk depressing everyone!!!!!
Tell them you went to Brazil, got talking to a girl in a bar, woke up in a bath the next day with a phone next to it with a "Call this number..." card on it. You rang the number and a voice said "DON'T MOVE! An ambulance will pick you up shortly!" Turned out that the girl had drugged you, removed your kidneys, sewn you back up again and put you in a bath full of saline solution.
