I am looking for information which would identify the qualitiesof various papers and cards for simple surface techniques

We used to be able to borrow a "swatch" from paper suppliers. Maybe a Prontoprint or similar may have them, or at least lend you one. It comes in the form of a little book, with all the paper samples in them
