Does anyone know the whole poem of "There was an old man called Michael Finnegan" All I can remember is the lines "He grew whiskas on his chin-egan" and "he grew fat and then grew thin-agen". I loved this poem a s a child and would love to relay it to my daughter. Many Thanks!

There was an old man named Michael Finnegan, Climbed a tree and barked his shin-egan, Took off several yards of skin-egan, Poor old Michael Finnegan, begin again. There was an old man named Michael Finnegan, He kicked up an awful din-egan, Because they said he could not sing-egan, Poor old Michael Finnegan, begin again. You almost have all of it. My son and daughter have this on one of their cd's and it is never very far from me. the last verse after what you have already is: poor old Michael Finnegan again.... then you repeat over and over and over

Thankyou so much Neil D and Annabellalot. My lovely grandad used to play the mandalin and sing this to me back in the fifties when I was a little girl and it brought back so many memories. He also used to sing 'Paddy McGinties Goat'.
