how to find a book if i dont know the title or author???

set in 1900's, a young girl (mattie, matilda??) saves a toddler from being run over by a horse and carriage, she gets taken in by the family (husband is a vicar of some sort) to be the nanny, they move to america she also helps and saves children in poverty throughout the story she goes on to open a bar called london lil's? if someone could help me find this book i'd appreciate it! ive tried the local library but they weren't able to help, ive tried google searches and looking manually through thousands of books but i am unable to remember what it even looks like!!!
