The values quoted r extraordinary......anyone received similar values for their 'tat',,,,oh sorry, antiques?

the older progz have updated values depending on the market
in general they have not kept up with erm property prices
and some have really lagged - mahogany and sliver both of which I like and therefore there are bargains to be had.
auctions are cheapest
and insurance values are the highest because the money will beused to replace

munn tends to go at �1000/carat of diamond which is the current auction price
They are highly selected pieces (having had one that was filmed and then not broadcast)
and if you get the 'wrong' expert - one ofthem doesnt read chinese which I always think of when I hear him talking about chinese blue and white - none of the inscribed ware gets a fair outing
