Claire, - you could try contacting the Fife Council Library Service; either in Kirkcaldy ( 01592 412878) or Dunfermline (01383 312600). Local studies depts of local library services often have details of local worthies, celebs and the like. Vettriano, as you might know, used to be a Fife miner. Good luck
