At the end of an extract I'm analysing Eva sings "Oh Peaceful England" by Endward German.
My teacher thinks its just coincidence that German and England are sidebyside. I think its a clever thought/metaphor left by Whelan to say the Germans and the English fought for nothing, or something along those lines.
