Under the Skin by Michael Faber

anyone read this?
AMAZING This novel disgusted me but hooked me & it has touched me in a sort of 1984 way. The transposing of animals & humans blew me away, it's so 'what if'. The lack of freedom & the dutiful endurance of pain... The story honestly haunts me! I had to go & see the routes described!

Hi Zac,
It's a long shot that you will pick this up but.......you made me wonder why I hadn't looked for more from him.
I suppose I was a bit freaked by Under the Skin so I didn't rush to find his other titles! Apart from the teenage reads, Wyndham, War of Worlds, I haven't delved into sci-fi. Is that what you enjoy?
It seems that UTS was a departure for him. At the moment Im whizzing through The Fire Gospel. It's an easy, straightforward narrative. Interesting Male character. Indiana Jones meets Dan Brown!!!! See yourself as either of them?! Will hold final opinion till I finish it.
I have the Crimson Petal & the White ( bit of a tome, well reviewed) so will dive into that next. Then I might be able to imagine where he pulled UTS from...or maybe best not go there!
