I have a small silvered cylinder 25mm x 10mm diameter with the words George &co stamped on the cap. It also has "******" and "mix with Methy Spirit " stamped on the side. This came from a soldier in the Great War . I dont think its a match box because it has no striking surface. I thought it might be to make something black (ink?)by adding methylated spirit can any body solve the mystery or point me in the right direction?Regards
