Style of illustration
3 Answers
I'm looking to emulate a certain style of illustration in my work. I need to research further and I'm not sure of the name of the type of artwork i'm talking about! Can anyone help?!
The best example I can give is the inner sleeve of the album 'Daisies of the Galaxy' by Eels. The art director described her design for the sleeve as reminiscent of older Little Golden Books (I think from America) http://www.randomhouse.com/golden/big_little_g olden_books.php. Basically there are lots of birds on the sleeve and i'm looking to develop a style of drawing birds like this, and in order to further research I need to know the name of this style, if indeed there is a name. If anyone could help with names, or even sites i could visit i would be most appreciative.
Thanks!

but I don't know if it will give you exactly what you're after. Alternatively, try places that sell vintage books and magazines
