Maybe give a brief description of the author - what nationality she is, when she was born and where, What other novels she wrote, what type book Emma is. Read excerpts from the book, give examples of use of language, imagery, style.

For a modern multimedia presentation you could integrate the ideas from the book with elements from the film 'clueless' which is based on it.  That'd be more interesting than just going through the text (I think).  If you've access to Powerpoint (and even if you haven't) you can get useful sound files from http://funwavs.com/movie/sounds/clueless/?page=3.  Any use?
