In the book The Girls it is mentioned that one of the characters is addicted to Coronation Street, am i right in assuming that this is referring to the English soap and not some other program? If so I didn't realise that it was shown over in the states?

Yes: that show is aired both in Canada and the US.

not to sure how far behind corrie is in the states but i do no that in new zealand they are about 3 months behind.

oh right! hmm interesting, honestly didnt think it'd have a very big audience aborad! and realise now that the girls is set in canada not america so please excuse my mistake! and thanks for all the answers!
