Miss Pettigrew lives for a day

Fairly new to Books and Authors, and I wondered if anyone had enjoyed this delightful book by Winifred Watson? Even the end paper is taken from a 1938 furnishing fabric! The preface is fascinating, telling how it came to be reprinted in 2000, after being written in 1938. The whole story takes place in 24hours,hour by hour, and is a thoroughly enjoyable book to lose yourself in, and if feeling down the ending will 'lift your spirits', promise. It has been made into a film of the same name which I hope to get, I just hope it does justice to the book. I hope it hasn't already been discussed. Rosy
