Cheshire Trees
4 Answers
Anyone know the name of the artist who painted Cheshire Trees? It may have been painted in the 1970s and had (I think) a lot of green, yellow and silver/grey...and the artist was probably from the Greater Manchester area - and is this image on the web? Ta Muchly.

I'd say it was more likely to be an artist more local to Manchester than Hockney ever was and the gallery I last saw the painting in was doing a rental deal on its art. The gallery used to be in the road/street parallel to Market Street, Manchester...the same street which began with the Portland Hotel and came out opposite the entrance to Oxford Road train station. The painting was also reproduced on a Robinsons Brewery calendar...if all that's any more help.
