If, as I suspect, it's a music related question, do you reference the music or the dance?

If it's the music, do you mean bossa nova, balance, neo pagode, samba de breque, samba-cancao, samba-enredo, samba de gafieira or samba de roda? or only that displayed at Carnival in Rio?

If it's the dance, is the samba no pe? or the samba de gafieira or samba pagod which are the partnered dances usually seen in ball room competition?

Help me out here... it's a very diverse art form with a lengthy and complex history involving the cultures of Africa, Brazil, Portugal and others that extends back to the late 1800's or early 1900's... Thanks for the question, though...
