Naughty Amelia Jane books were great!
Peter Pan, I wanted (still want to actually) to be a mermaid. It still is one of my favourite childrens books although I was very fond of Roald Dhal as well.
I liked Enid Blyton's Chalet School Girls' series.
God, I was innocent.

i used to picture enid blyton as a sweet little ols lady till i was told how evil she was to her own child
Paddington, then Mary Mary books.

Aah,when i was a kid my favourite book was How to construct a small Nuclear device in your own home using toilet rolls,uranium and double sided stick tape,i think it was the "blue peter Annual edition"!

Seriously i liked Asterix and tin tin, there were loads of others but i cant name them,i also loved beano,dandy,superhero and 2000ad comics!
I loved Ivor the Engine. My Mum could do a mean Welsh accent LOL
And the Meg and Mog books
How about the "dr seuss" books,"chickenlicken and "there was a lady that swallowed a fly"
