I suspect that this will be very difficult - for a start, it's the sort of subject you can't really learn from a book, and, secondly, so few British people understand the English language these days because English Grammar is no longer taught in British schools.

Have you looked on Amazon for advanced English? The Oxford series is a good place to start.

As a former Uni student, I can say that grammar is definitely studied at college and Uni but tends to be headed under Linguistics, although as for an answer to the initial question, I'm still at a loss.
