Vernon god little

Has anyone read Vernon God Little? If so, what did you think of it?  I have read a couple of chapters & just can't seem to get into it.

I read it and hated it. VGL is such a snivelling little idiot you don't care for him one bit. I'd give up now as it doesn't get any better.

I eventually enjoyed - agree it was tough to get going on.

I enjoyed it, was a bit weird and hard to read with all the swearing and colloquial language but was glad i kept on with it.

I thought it was excellent. However, I didn't think it was the great comedy the critics made it out to be. There is very little that is funny about the book. It's a very sad story.
