recommend a book - please !

I need a holiday book ...

A pacey thriller ... not too heavy ... something to dip in and out of ...

... of the Dean Koontz, Robert Goddard, sort of variety.

Any recommendations, please ?

I have about 10 books on the go at the moment, but none of them is really a "holiday" book. I want something that can live in my backpack for a week.

Most of Lee Child's are good, thrillers, good baddies and an ace hero character. My personal fave is Die Trying.
I've loved all of Simon Kernick's and would also recommend one called Hot Blood by Stephen Leather.
Also Nothing to Fear by Karen Rose was a very good holiday read, couldn't put it down.
