He is briefly mentioned by Harry on pg 17 UK version,chapter one.If you're wondering if there's a connecion between him and Lily Evans,there isn't.JK squashed this one ages ago.

I'm just re-reading HP & TOOP and Mark Evans is a character bullied by Dudley Dursley. He is only mentioned in passing, so I fail to see why he has caused such speculation about being the half blood prince.

Thankyou guys, I am aware that JK has denied the speculations about the character but I couldn't for the life of me find out where he had been mentioned and it was really bugging me!!!
