Pooh Illustrations: With regard especially to his pencil illustrations, please could someone tell me exactly, I repeat, exactly how Ernest Shepard signed his drawings of Winnie the Pooh? Ta Muchly.

the ones I've found online either have a handwritten EHS, followed by a / slash and a dot; and some aren't signed at all. But I can't always tell if they're in pencil or pen.

Brilliant jno!...and Many Thanks for the link and the image signature looks very very very similar...oo-er!...I wonder if there is any significance that that signature is in the LH corner and the one we have is in the RH corner...hmmm....I think a visit to an auction rooms may be needed and have a word with an expert...or wait until the Antiques Roadshow is nearby! woodelf - no, there are also illustrations online signed in the right hand corner and some not signed at all, plus some signed EH Shepard and some Ernest H Shepard. But I can't be sure which, if any, are in pencil. So the time has indeed come to get an expert opinion. Best of luck!
