Dumbledore is really old

How old do wizards get?  Because if you think about it, Flamel was like 500 years old.  It said that Dumbledore helped him create the Sorcerer's Stone... so Dumbledore would have to be like 500 years old too?

I think that wizzards are always portrayed as old men because in older cultures, wisdom was perceived as the province of the elderly - the older a person was, the more they were deemed to have experienced and learned about the the world, and could pass this wisdom on to younger people. For the purposes of fiction, wizards can be any age, if a specific time frame is required, or simply 'old' if not.

dumbledore is old, but is not as old as flamel cause flamel has the philosifers stone, elixer of life.
