Winston Churchill print.
1 Answers
I have a print of a painting of Winston Churchill. The artist is Arthur Pan. And the original is hanging in the American embassy. It was painted in the second world war. The print I have looks like it could possibly be an "original" print from the same time. On the reverse it has part of a Churchill speach...... "The cause of freedom and of justice; Of the weak against the strong; Law against violence; Mercy and tolerance against brutality and iron bound tyranny." It is signed by Churchill and dated December 5th 1942. Not sure if the signiture is a print or not. What I want to know is what its worth, if anything or should I just dump it.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Prints which were signed by the artist are worth a bit more. (See item 44):

With vast quantities of that print being in circulation, I'd consider it extremely unlikely that the signature on the reverse is original but any decent local auction room, preferably one specialising in fine art sales, should be able to advise you.
