Trying to find a childrens book
6 Answers
I bought it from new when I was about 7 (21 years ago) Cant remember title or author (great!) havent been able to find anything on google etc....
all stories were related to faeries and hobgoblins.
x1 story was called the abomniable snowman (and had something to do with a boy having a snowglobe given to him by his father, and it transported him to where this yeti was)
x1 story was about a bunch of faeries who were going to be made homeless .... and ended up making a home in a derilict postbox by writing & posting lots of letters (to keep it from being removed)
x1 and another one was just about naughty hobgoblins who terroised farmers etc etc
i always remember the illustrations being most beautiful and havent been able to find this book since .......

I found a book called Fairy Stories for bedtime, and the stories include:
The Fairy postbox, Noel the know-all gnome, The wishing fairy, Florence and Wilfred, The Elf Bull, The goblins of Griddlestone Gap and The World's greatest Leprechaun hunt.
Does this ring any bells?
