Is there anybody out there who could shed some light on this vintage photograph? Primarily hoping to find the photographer's name out http://i51.tinypic.com/y2t0x.png

I don't know if this matters or helps and maybe you knew anyway but the dog is probably a borzoi.

Aww venator you've been marvellous. I will check this thread again to see if your friend has any idea, but if not, thanks a lot anyways for all your work on this. Would love to find out and I find it odd that the eBay seller doesn't know - how does he/she get the right to sell prints??

Googling Borzois/Russian Wolfhounds here, scotman:)
You don't have to know who painted the original in order to sell on eBay, swedeheart - I'm selling some pictures of my own, not a clue who executed the originals!

Hi boxtops! Yes but if you check the link venator posted this seller apparently has an art print shop and has, as far as I can see, sold 4 copies of this print so far, unless I'm misunderstanding something. So it is isn't his own personal copy up for sale. Again, unless I'm misunderstanding something.
You're probably right, swedeheart, I didn't look at the links... ;-(
Question Author
I suspect the seller is well aware the photo isn't in the public domain and for that reason is unwilling to reveal the photgrapher's name...
Hi Swedeheart

I have looked some more for this image but have been unable to identify any details. I posted it to tineye.com and got some hits but they seem mostly to be personal blogs etc. I think the consensus is that this is now an unattributed image and hence copyright free.
Question Author
Thank you scotman, that's very kind of you. I would still love to know who the photographer is, so if you ever find out... :)
