was just trying to get other people's opinion because i dont think it is that gothic...
Is that the one with the mad woman in the attic? Sounds Gothic to me...

redhelen, you forgot a journey ... gothic novels need a journey away from the safety of home (perhaps metaphorical?)

Not sure of the definition of gothic is but I found Wuthering Heights quite gothicy. A very dark novel.

I'd do someones homework if they'd come round to mine and do my housework. I think thats a fair swap.
Why not just do a search on Google for 'wuthering heights gothic novel'? Loads of links that describe the Gothic elements in the book.
Because of the dreaming element to her story and the ghost element then yes , it is considered gothic to the scholars of the last 10 years or so, but they do insist on reading the trends into classics, argue that it is if you are strudying it this decade, bit next decade it might not be
