Their title 'Art', by Robert Cumming (in their 'Eyewitness Companions' series), might be suitable for your needs. It's aimed at adults but it's packed with illustrations and facts, so it should be of interest to younger people as well. It's a thick, glossy paperback (with 512 pages), priced at £16.99.

PS: They'll probably have to bring out a new edition soon, Woodelf, to include your work ;-)

No need for apologies Naz...sometimes I'm not even sure who sent the question, even though it's me!...smile...and Many Thanks Chris, not only for your help yet again, but for the kind words about my art...though my website which is undergoing reconstruction (as they say) will soon be up and about, with five additional paintings!...I'll try your book suggestion too and yours Naz...by the way Naz, I've found the Kojak theme tune I was on about, on Youtube.
