What is the name of that face powder stuff you put over your face to make it less shiney? I noticed from some photos I took at the weekend that I'm starting to slip from the dewy look to 'slightly sweaty betty look'! I don't want actual foundation powder, I'm sure there's just a powder you put on that stops the shineyness... only I can't google the best ones until I know what to write in the google search bar!
Thank you! :c)
(Oh, and I can ask questions but not answer them here so please don't think I'm being rude if I don't respond til this evening).
I use blotting paper from The Body Shop. It's got a very fine powder on it that you can't see on the skin but it' great for getting rid of the over shiny bits.
a shine free translucent pressed powder might be what you are looking for(would get in boots) but superdrug also do blotting pads like evian mentions. Avon do a face perfector magi x I think it is called and you put it under your foundation and helps protect against oiliness and give your skin and even tone.
hi china,
i use boots own brand - 'natural collection' transclucent loose face powder, and its great, and only £1.99,
have been using it for years now,
i think you can get it in a compact too, ideal for keeping in your handbag, for the odd 'touch up' here n there... again, only £1.99.
they often have an offer on - any 3 items for £5.
I was just going to say, I would recommend the loose powder, as opposed to the compact. You can use a brush to lightly dust the face (or the areas which need it) rather than having to use a sponge pad with the compact, which I think looks a bit 'caked on'.
(their natural collection 'colour foundation' isnt bad either. for years id always used a clarins one at nearly £30 for 30ml! - scandalous! .. anyway, not so long back i tried one of theirs (£1.99 for 40ml) and its alright! ... its absolutely fine for everyday wear anyway, if not for going out too)
Ahem... I use an aldis foundation, it's good, I also use their version of that yves saint laurent cliq thing or whatever it's called, no one has ever noticed the difference ;0)
