I'm looking for a new hair styler . My old Nicky Clarke has given up .
Well ,let's say it went ..bang ,and I jumped abut a lot :)
What I want is a hot brush type thing ..not a straightener ..just one of those ones that give your hair a bit of bounce . Like a blow dry brush but electric .
Any recommendations......thank you .

Good morning all. we finally hit the clean sheets at about 01.30 and its a beautiful day here.
I see we're overflowing a bit here, do we need to up sticks?
Hello Biddies. I have surfaced and am now going to catch up. I am not going to moan or mention aches and pains except to say I have been at the bottom of the pit.
Going to work backwards until Monday when I had a quick catch up!!!
Have booked another flight to England for Sunday 11th (£350!) but hopefully sister and I will manage to repay mr N cos he'll go mad!! Very bright and windy here, have decided to wash all the bathroom towels and mats and they are now blosing in the wind, lovely sight.
I've been floundering near the bottom too Lottie but I feel better now the dentist is over with (check-up/just a clean). I should really give the hairdresser a call next.
It's stopped raining now I'm back home, tut.

Erm, I think I've still got something lined up woofy....
Robi and Lottie, i am glad you have climbed out of the pit.
sorry about the abrupt end, I was mobbed by a dog because his ears needed cleaning. He's been off the antihistamines for about a week but whatever he is allergic to is back so we did a bit of a clean then I dosed him. Weather forecast here is looking good so hoping for a normal day tomorrow.
very brave of you going to the dentist, Robinia, I can't say I'm a fan but at least when I go to see him these days he puts teeth in rather than pulling them out. And I'm pleased to see tother biddies feeling a bit chirpier. Maybe it's the wind clearing the air? Lots of clouds about but I was suprised to see the horizon when I went out earlier, we don't usually have one here down sarf because it tempts pilots to use their eyes instead of all those expensive instruments.

I don't feel in the least bit chirpy .My hips are chirping though. In fact they're screaming .My knees are singing and my feet are beating in time with my neck :)
Otherwise I'm fine and hope all others are too.
Rather you than me going up the Shard Jno .I cowered by the lift of the last tall building I visited while everyone else was going ..ooh look ,oooh great .
Wasn't too bad here first thing after a wild and windy night but it's as black as yer hat out there now .
Well done Robinia ...have a badge :)

Hi, I caught up but my brain is so woolly when I got back to Monday I forgot what was happening today.

Sorry you have been having grim times too Robi and Shaney. Miserable isn't it. I must admit getting to the point that waking up seemed pointless, but a session with my osteo yesterday gave me a real lift. The worse thing at the moment is that I can't put any pressure on my feet and both of them have got worse. Both GP and doc don't recommend the ops as because of the hypermobility and Fibro problems I probably will end up worse off. I just hate being useless!!

But

:o)

I promised I wouldn't moan!!!!
GP and Osteo!
Hi Lottie good to see you. Sorry you've been down but you always come back so positively. I always appreciate that from all you ladies on here cos I can get to feeling really sorry for myself sometimes over things that aren't as bad as some of the long lasting aches and pains you have.
I have been to my wrist class today and have been told I need some more physiotherapy to get my wrist bending backwards and forwards better but thank goodness I don't have to go on another day.
Then I went and had my nails just done. Just a plain file and polish and a clear varnish. The young girl I found to do them in Derby told me the place was closing on Saturday and she is going to another place which they have in Ashbourne but that is to far to go so I'll be doing them myself again I guess.
The Shard looks a seriously high building to go up in a lift. Especially for me as I have only just managed to get in a lift on my own. I never would up to this year I got so panicky. Enjoy it Jno - looking forward to some pictures.
Hopefully will get my car sorted tomorrow then I'm determined to have a go. I gave myself the 1st November as and aim. Not made it today but maybe tomorrow.
I hope you all have a good night. Lates 'gaters
Hi Jude - would you like some of of my hypermobility ability to get your wrists to bend backwards more. ;o).

All these years of seeing various physios, chiropractics, osteos, GP's who have dismissed my joint problems because I can always touch the ground with the flat of my hand, etc. If only I had known what I know now. I am still really bendy - the osteo had a shock yesterday when he saw my bendy feet and toes!!

Good luck with the driving. I am glad you are getting on so well. Since my incident in the supermarket carpark I am really nervous now about parking anywhere, so hesitate to go out. But as my back has ceased up a bit perhaps I am safer using Mr LL as a chauffeur!!
Oh another one here who absolutely dislikes , dreads and fears heights and lifts. (oh and spiders!)

I feel fine but rather tired after my wonderful evening out last night, am defo settling down for this week, but then am off to Eastbourne and although it is a funeral, they have hired a big room in the Hydro Hotel and everyone is looking forward to a family get together. Sister seems to be coping admirably, going to two Halloween parties (one with elder sister and one with granddaughter) I honestly do not know if it hasn't hit her yet, or whether it is such a relief to her (she's always admitted he wasn't the love of her life, they married when she was 50!) So will not feel too guilty going to see pjproby ey al!

Hi lottie you so suffer, I feel for you, just cannot imagine the pain you are going through. Hope you continue to feel better x

Jude you never complain about anything, you might mention occasionally that something is bothering you, but that's it. Good on you girl, I am a moaner, wailer and whinger, and I get man flu!!!
My thumbs are just like this.

Yuk!!

Oight oight all, wishing you peaceful nights and pain free days
Hija and I can do that with our thumbs and the fingers bend backwards a long way, no doctor is impressed!

Lovely sunny day here, but oodles of flies, driving me mad.

Hope you all had a good night and that you all feel better today.
*my doctor is impressed*
sunny here. I'm sure it's a trick.

Time to form a biddy group of contortionists?

We could call them "The Flexible Friends".
Good afternoon all! Its a beautiful autumn day here bright and sunny and fresh, what a lovely change. We had fireworks again last night, local ones not a display. Not looking forward to the next 4 days at all. The stuff I give them to help costs four quid a dose...I reckon they subsidise the firework sellers.
Anyway we had a lovely walk this morning and things are good right now.
