How often do you ladies colour your hair? With this hot weather washing
hair every day, so the colour doesn't last long. Any tips?

Never....no problem with roots, fading or anything else :-)
I gave up, now I kid myself it's platinum :)
A word of warning, please, do not use Pro Voke-Touch of Silver.
It's really horrid on your hair.
Nae hair so nae bother (the missus ah mean)

I usually use loving care
Like to have it done at the hairdressers but it's a bit pricy!
I use Lasting Care (I think) 24 shampoos.
I have been using it for about 20 years I now need to use it more often. I have dark hair and I am trying to make it lighter slowly. I wash my hair twice a week and use the coloured conditioners from Superdrug when it starts to fade.
Because of the conditioners I am now dying it about every six weeks

Thank you. I may try superdrug. It will be a bit cheaper.
I color my hair about half a year, and I think the best way to avoid the color fading is to prevent the ultraviolet radiation, so that you can wear a hat to make this.
...Or else release your natural grey. I've never regretted reverting to silver fox!
Monthly as I have to maintain an image for clients ;)

Divide the cost with refresh frequency (6 weeks is usual) to check if cost effective.

I've got a lot grey now but it's a horrible steel colour so I get it frosted in cinnamon and ash every three months with foils .It blends all the grey in.I go to a local independent hairdresser and she charges thirty quid .Weighing that up against buying home colourants and root touch up stuff and faffing around with it all dripping down me neck and face it's not that dear.
