Persisitent Spot
I have had a spot for almost 2 years now. Its on my chin and has never healed. I have tried picking it and nothing comes out, I have been to the doctors and had numerous creams which non have worked.
Anybody got any suggestions, I am bridesmaid next year and need it gone!

I asked GP for a consultation, eventually got one and after a 2 hour wait in a packed hospital when I finally got in he said the NHS won't do that for you and then proceeded to slip his number to me on a scrap of paper and said call my secretary for a private appointment. I was quite miffed. Ended up successfully picking it out with a needle myself but DON't do that.
Not wishing to scare you either, Lozzy....I had a spot that was dismissed by my GP for a couple of years....I ended up making a fuss and was referred to the Max/Fax unit at the hospital.
I was then given an appointment to have it removed but on the morning of the surgery the very pompous guy said it was just a spot and he was having nothing to do with it.
I then took part in a one woman sit in...well on the bed actually....and with a lot of nastiness he agreed to remove it.
Turned out it was a BCC.....not dangerous or life threatening but it needed to go.
Just make a fuss....seems the only way now.....☺

you can either wait for the 3 month appointment or if you can afford it, around 200 quid, get a private appointment....like gness's, my dh"s turned out to be a cancer. It was removed and there were no further issues. This is not said to scare you but it might be worth asking your doc how he knows its not cancer.
