I have had a spot for almost 2 years now. Its on my chin and has never healed. I have tried picking it and nothing comes out, I have been to the doctors and had numerous creams which non have worked.
Anybody got any suggestions, I am bridesmaid next year and need it gone!

Well what did the Dr say? Clearly it isn't just a spot. Possibly a fatty cyst that will need cutting out, possibly something else.

The last time I went to the doctor he just said well theres nothing I can do because the creams aren't working? Useful!
I'd ask to see someone else.
go to doctor. Not to scare you but my dh had similar and had it removed.

woofgang.. what was the procedure in getting it removed?
Any chance you could go private? I had a fatty spot like lump on my cheek. I asked GP for a consultation, eventually got one and after a 2 hour wait in a packed hospital when I finally got in he said the NHS won't do that for you and then proceeded to slip his number to me on a scrap of paper and said call my secretary for a private appointment. I was quite miffed. Ended up successfully picking it out with a needle myself but DON't do that.
Not wishing to scare you either, Lozzy....I had a spot that was dismissed by my GP for a couple of years....I ended up making a fuss and was referred to the Max/Fax unit at the hospital.

I was then given an appointment to have it removed but on the morning of the surgery the very pompous guy said it was just a spot and he was having nothing to do with it.

I then took part in a one woman sit in...well on the bed actually....and with a lot of nastiness he agreed to remove it.

Turned out it was a BCC.....not dangerous or life threatening but it needed to go.

Just make a fuss....seems the only way now.....☺
Yours must have been a beauty spot Gness...Chortle...
What are you after, Rusty?

The spot on my face grew into a large, perfect heart shape...it looked stupid. There is a chart where you can look up the meaning of a beauty spot...it's wrong!
you can either wait for the 3 month appointment or if you can afford it, around 200 quid, get a private appointment....like gness's, my dh"s turned out to be a cancer. It was removed and there were no further issues. This is not said to scare you but it might be worth asking your doc how he knows its not cancer.
