I saw this in the Daily Mail, using conditioner first then shampoo after.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2595519/The-secret-perfect-hair-Use-conditioner-BEFORE-shampoo.html

Has anyone tried this and found if it makes any difference to them?

I've tried it the last couple of days and it does feel really strange doing it back to front and my hair does have a bit more body to it but am not convinced...yet...

I quite often wash my hair with my conditioner. It's because I've got water in my eyes and can't read the bottle.
Same with me Tilly, it doesn't lather up much does it?

Haha, yes I've done that too, I'm very short sighted which is part of my excuse :) I love my L'Oreal conditioner but it makes the bath so slippery, keep thinking I'm going to go flying.

Thanks Woofgang. I couldn't just use conditioner, wouldn't feel like my hair was properly clean afterwards.

It's a pain finding shampoo and conditioner without sulfates. I had sulphate free products recommended when I had some hairloss issues a while back and it took ages to find some, finally found a L'Oreal range in Superdrug but wasn't too impressed with it and, to be honest, wouldn't have bought it if my hair hadn't been falling out.
They have a range of sulfate/sulphate free shampoo and conditioner in Boots. I don't recall the make.

Ooh, thanks, will keep that in mind if I need any more at any point, it's calmed down thank goodness!
I've been trying Wen.

I have always had thin hair which gets oily quickly so needs daily washing and recently have lost quite a bit due to stress. I use it about half the time and find that it does improve the way my hair looks and feels. Its quite expensive but I found I only need to use about half the amount that is suggested. I still need to wash daily but it does seem to have improved the body and shine of my hair.

Thanks for that, bit out of my price range though. My hair is similar, needs washing every day, is very fine (was before it started coming out) and oily but with dry frizzy ends, it doesn't like my arthritis drugs either.

A hairdresser has had very good results using Jenoris on my hair too but that is expensive stuff too.
I'm very sceptical I'd like to see if it was just the same if she hadn't used conditioner at all. Shampoo is designed to clean the grease and dirt from your hair and I would have thought it would remove any benefit you would have got from the conditioner. Conditioner should only be put on from mid length through to the ends anyway, if you smam it all over the roots it's bound to leave your hair looking flat, and dull if you don't rinse it out properly. It's also rather impractical if you wash your hair in the shower to wait 5 mins with conditioner on before you can shampoo.
Klorane is good if you have fine /thinning hair .
I've been using the quinine B6 one.It smells lovely and my hair is much improved .
Never tried reverse hair washing though.

I was going to try it yesterday but chickened out.

It is faffy to wait with the conditioner, I reckon I just wouldn't leave that on so long as my routine is usually shampoo then wash body then conditioner while I do my underarms and cleanse and wash my face etc...

My hair doesn't seem as conditioned and has more body maybe but is fluffier, maybe it works better if you have naturally straight or less annoying hair.
I have tried it a couple of times. I did it this week. Left conditioner on for about five minutes. Rinsed it off then washed hair once with shampoo supposedly giving extra body. Must say hair is shinier and smoother (surprisingly) than when I use conditioner after. Also less sticky up little bits if you know what I mean.
Try the 'Simple' range of products for washing products without anything added.
Since my husband read that some weeks ago I have tried it. But to tell you how I got on I would like to add I have ezcema on my head ( I cannot think what the right word is for it ) Anyway have now used it for a few weeks and all my itching has stopped.! Honestly.... I went back once or twice with shampoo first and each time it started to itch again within the same day.
So I would say yes to it...go on try it yourself and see how you get on. x
Unfortunately there is everything added in the Simple range. Its only a name and a claim to be good for sensitive skin. But these are all in their shampoos.

Our special blend
Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamide DEA, Sodium Chloride, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Panthenol, Glycerin, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Dipropylene Glycol, Anthemis Nobilis Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Hydroxide

I use either Faith in Nature products, or Jason shampoo depending on which Health Food shop i can get to. Both are around £5 a bottle but last for ages.

I shall try reversing them tomorrow!
pantene do a sulphate-free range......not bad
i too read an article and saw pics, the lady did look that she had more volume in her hair following conditioner first and shampoo after.
I saw this article and was sceptical but I have tried it,condition hair for 5 minutes then shampoo. Hair does feel better but I will try it for a bit longer before I am convinced
