..but I really did lose my eyebrows.
I have since been trying to pencil them back in, but it seems to wear off after a little while.

tattoo them on. lots of women do it.

A more expensive eyebrow pencil might help. My cheap eyeliners wear off quickly. Or you could try having them tattooed. I wouldn't do this though in case they grow back.

Tattooing, but select a good Tattooist. Heidi Worman is good and so is Tracie Giles. More expensive but you will get a natural, un-clownlike look.

The eye pencil won't stay in place for long unless you've started off with a good base. Are you using a foundation/powder first?

I empathise with you ferlew,...I overplucked my eyebrows many years ago and they never grew back properly :(
