How do the celebrities with long dark hair get a brilliant shine.

While on here - might as well kill two birds with one stone. Am looking for a powerful hairdryer. Mine is going ok but think it is on its last legs. Thanks for any replies.

Product mainly JJ - good conditioning, glossers and or serums to give shine.

Can't advise re a hairdryer, being a curly top I don't use one.

thanks for that Mamy.
My hair is jet black and straitened and i've never had the shine and strength that i have now until using argon oil. It's even better than olive oil imo. Give it a try and see for yourself if you haven't used it before

I wouldn't use any other brand of hairdryer, I have had mine for around 14 years now and it's still going strong.
I use product to make my hair shine as Mamya said. Try to avoid oils and waxes as they can make your hair look greasy if applied wrongly, serums and lotions work best for me. I use Tigi S Factor Smoothing Lusterizer, one bottle lasts for a very long time as you only need a tiny amount even on long, thick hair, it also smells lovely.

Err - I should have said I was blonde - am thinking it would be hard to get a shine on my blonde tresses.

The Tigi product I mentioned works on blonde hair, in fact the first time I bought it I had long dyed blonde hair.
There are hundreds of other products on the market specifically for making blonde hair shine, John Frieda do a decent range that can be bought in Boots http://www.boots.com/en/John-Frieda/Sheer-Blonde/

Ok - have taken on board your tips. Thanks

Daffy - I looked at the hairdryer which is 1500w - there are some at 2000w - I take it this would be a stronger hairdryer.
Yes it is stronger jj, it also uses a tiny bit more electricity. It is really only personal choice as to which one you get, there is little difference in performance.
Question Author
Well have ordered hairdryer as per Daffy's info.
