Do any of you ladies use two different mascaras at the same time? I'm thinking of buying a second mascara with a finer / slimmer brush for the lower lashes, I always seem to find them difficult to coat.
I sometimes use two cheaper ones when that's all I have left. One to lengthen and one to thicken. When I pay out for a decent mascara (Yves Saint Laurent, for example), I don't find the need to use another
Boots number 7 do a mascara with two sizes of brush on the same wand so you can put it on thick one side, then fine comb on the other to get rid of any clogging
I have trouble using one 'cos I can't see without my glasses!! I can't find a mascara that doesn't clog my eyelashes together, any recommendations for a good one?
Another question can anybody remember a mascara that had black and one end and White at the other, the White end being a sort of thickening base coat. I can't find it anymore?
Margo, try Yves Saint Laurent. It costs around £23, so I only tend to buy it twice a year (holidays, etc). The rest of the year I use cheapies such as Maybelline, Rimmel. They are not the same, I find myself picking clumps out of my lashes all the time
Blimey, thanks for all these replies!! Retro, that sounds really good. Thought I might have to buy two different ones.
Margo, I have a x 10 magnification mirror for applying mine.
Elina -i have very fine almost blonde eyelashes and the Boots mascara is the best one I've tried for nice looking natural lashes ,even out shines the really expensive ones.
Elina - one side of the wand has a regular looking 'brush' the other side has what looks like a mini comb -you apply the mascara with the brush side, then comb through to get an even coating with the other side.
Ric, I've used that mascara too ... the one with the pink body & green top. I was using 'Masterpiece Max' .. had a gold body if I can remember. Now I use Almays one coat dialup which I buy from ebay as I can't find it in the shops.
I think almay has gone out of business...eBay,etc is the only place to find it.
I've used two mascaras at a time in the past. Usually because one will apply a bit too heavily, and another to separate out the lashes. I recently discovered Boots seventeen "FalsifiedHD". Cheap as anything but lasts all day, doesn't smudge, and seperates my lashes without looking clumpy. I layer on brown black followed by blackest black.
I use various mascaras on the top (Benefits They're Real is my favourite) but always use a waterproof on the bottom lashes to prevent smudging.
For Margo it was L'Oreal that had the mascaras with the white primer. One came in a blue and white normal barrel and another type in a large almost elongated eye shaped pack (Volume Extreme??) They are all discontinued but I buy the white primer separately now. Mac do a good one.
It's a little bit expensive but is really good, the end of the brush is smaller so you can get the lower lashes and the ones in the inner and outer corners of the upper lids easily.
