Have you tried french plaits? they can be tricky at first but once you get used to it its easy-peasy! i find that if i do two then i can do them easier than just one as i find that just one comes out so easily and gets rather loose but if you have long hair that shouldn't be a problem.
Also how about investing in some curling tongs? i have some of the babyliss spring ones and they are very good they weren't expensive either i think they were about 20 from morrissons! They do really nice curls, like loose ringlets, which instantly give you a new look! Not exactly very quick though, but would be good also if you wanted a nice do for a night out - esp. if you have any xmas do's coming up.
Another idea which i have just discovered the joy of is Hair Extension clip ins!! You can get pieces of hair which you get little clips sewn onto and they justr clip into your hair, very easy to use, the good thing is that if you already have long hair then you can get them just to add a bit of colour to your hair, you didnt say what colour your hair is but Brown hair with a clip in blonde extensions looks really nice just for a bit of change.
sorry nothing really imaginative but hope this helps you!

Hi Sam - what about a chignon? simple, bur classy and a little bit sexy. Hold your hair as if you were putting a pontail in, and twist your hair into a bun, then put in plave with kirby grips. I have thivk hair so need loads of grips, but it looks really nice in. Might take a bit of practice mind! x x
