I want to go blonde...

I have reddy brown hair, but would love to go blonde gradually, but I don't have the money to get it done proffesionally, but I also dont want my hair turning ginger!! which could easily happen as my hair is slightly ginger anyway. Does anybody know how I could get blonde highlights in my hair without them going ginger? ohhh I wish they sold grey hairdye do that i could dye it grey then put blonde on top!! that would work!!...? lol anyway, would I have to dye my hair white first? and how much damage would that do?? thanx for reading this essay, hehe...so erm...any advice? xxxxxxxx

Well i have to say... get it done preoffessionally. I know you say you cant afford it but i would save up until you could as if it went wrong it would be a disaster!!!!!!!! There are plenty of cheaper hairdressers around, or even keep your eye out for ones that need models..... they do it half price then!!

Hiya ive got naturally reddy brown hair and went blond for 2 years myself...I done it myself and had various shades of blue green silver hair each time i dyed it..I thought i was gorgeous when it was sorta blond but looking at pics now what a mess, it wrecked my hair and cost a fortune to get my old colour back xx

I forgot, roots u have constant roots which need doing properly or lots of different shades again XX have i put you off??
