Gap between the teeth!

hey, i've got quite a gap between my 2 frount teeth and i just wondered if there were any other people out there who feel my pain, i get teased about it and i was considering trying to do something about it but i don't really know my options! and many people say that it is 'me' but i don't know... can anyone help?

My mother was always very proud of the fact that she could get a half crown coin between her front teeth (thicker than 50p). When she had false ones made she was furious they did not replicate her trademark gap.
It's all down to attitude - you can have a feature or an eyesore.

he - If this really makes you miserable, please go to the dentist! I presume you are a teenager? not long back, my 18 year old son fell & knocked back his top middle tooth, the dentist made him a tiny pallette with one tooth to fill the gap. Seriously, this sounds very easy remedied, go for it! Explore all the options! Good luck :0)

It hasn't done Madonna any harm in her career and its supposed to be lucky!!

If you are really troubled by it ask your dentist to refer you to an orthodontist for some professional advice.

It will depend on your age, I had a gap between my front teeth for years, I can't even remember when it closed up. My daughter has a gap, she is 15 and doesn't seem too bothered about it. If you didn't have that gap you would get teased about something else, those kind of people will always find something to tease you about .

Im 22 and had pretty bad teeth when i was younger (including the gap at the front). If theres no other problems with your teeth then an orthodontis will probably suggest a brace. My gap closed up after 2 days but i had to wear the braces for about a year and then a retainer, otherwise the teeth will just move back.
