Fluffy Hair Gel

What hair gel should my boyfriend use to style his hair to stay in one position but stay fluffy and not have that wet look rock solid thing going on

Hi my hubby has hair reminissant of Alan Davis aka Jonathan Creek. Umberto Giani Curl Friendly Gel (pink stuff in a tube from Boots) . It calms the friz and keeps the curls without being rock hard or looking "gelled". Good Luck
