Apparently if you use spray ones right before you you use the irons it just burns your hair. He told me if i need to use something apply a small amount of smoothing creme when your hair is wet, then use some serum or wax on dry hair after starightening to smooth down any fly away bits! This is what i always do and i use my irons twice a day sometimes and my hair in pretty good condition!x Hope this helps you.x
I use VO5 Sleek and shine, its a little tube and you need so little its great, lasts for ages!
I also use the Tigi -bedhead one called Heat defence, you can buy it in T&G and comes ina purple bottle, again you need very little.
another good range is bedhead poker straight, its a green range, quite prices but smells fab and leaves your hair looking POKER Striaght!!!

I just ran out of my GHD Oil, which was given to me as a present! I thought i would save some money and try tresseme heat defence spray, in the pump bottle, recently advertised. I think i will save up for the GHD oil it was brilliant, a bit pricey, but worth it! Don't think you can save money in this area! But i agree with the other comment, you need a product that is sprayed on while your hair is damp, then dry your hair, then straighten! x
