Outlining your lips with a lip pencil in the same shade usually works .. just make sure you've got a steady hand!

Priming your lips with foundation and applying a light dusting of translucent powder through one layer of tissue helps, I believe. Just make sure you have buffed your lips beforehand with some lip balm and a toothbrush so that they don't get flaky after application.
