How to do 'smokey eyes'?
Hi guys, long time no speak.
Anyway, I've been trying for ages to perfect the 'smokey eyes' look, but with no success. I've watched the vids on utube and have read tutorials on google, but they all seem so different and Im chronically confused now. I bought a load of eye makeup today, and have experimented for hours tonight - My big night out is Thursday :-S - but i think my biggest trouble is with the blending.
Can anybody please help me, either with a foolproof tutorial or just some tips to make sure I look positively sultry, rather than shockingly sh*te?
Thanks in advance xx

1) Choose eyeliner... this should be a colour that suits you and not always black. Personally I like brown or green.. liine top and bottom lid. If you have smaller almond eyes like me don't line the bottom lid to the corner, just somewhere in the middle.
2) Cover top of eye lid in matt colour.
3) Take a brown/medium colour eyeshadow(again I sometimes use a green) amd cover top eye lid to middle.
4) Now shade bottom corner of eye lid with a darker colour. A dark grey/brown shade works for me.
5) Ensure it all blends and is not just a colour here and a coulour there. You should see the different colours but not where the eye joins.
6) Add a very slightly sparkly shade just below eyeliner on bottom lid. Not all the way round, Just to the middle. Depends on eye shape wheterh it goes inner corner to middle or outter corner to middle.
7) Apply mascara.. again think of the colour of your eyes. Black can be aging. I prefer dark brown.
That's a vague guide anyway... hope it's of some use.
