hair colour

when i seem to colour my hair blonde from nice and easy natural lightest blonde it always seems to be a bit orange at the roots - someone told me this is because i have not left it on long enough is this correct?

yes it sounds like it, when the hair is lightened from black(or brunette) to white (blonde), the hair goes through a spectrum of colours.firstly the hair lightens from black to brown, then the brown goes to red, red to orange, then finally to yellow, then white. ideally blonding treatments should be stopped between the yellow and white stages (white being on the verge of disintigration usually) so it sounds like yours has come off a stage too early,. if you have left it on for recommended time and it still stays orange, its worth trying another blonding prouduct that is more suitable for the colour and porosity of your hair. hope this helps!
