Chop their fingers off ;)

You can get a bottle of stuff from places like Boots or Superdrug that taste really nasty and gets the person out of the habit of biting their nails. For most it is successful, however, when my sister got it for my nephew when he was younger, he grew to like the foul taste! He always been a bit weird though :) lol
Both my step-sister and my sister-in-law had false nails glued on to their....erm..... stumps of remaining chewed up nails to allow their own nails to grow underneath. This worked a treat and when their falsies were ready to come off they had their own nails underneath which they were so proud of (having not had any before in their lives, aged 18 and 24) they haven't bitten them since!

Obvisouly, this might not work so well if you are asking on behalf of a child or a man.....
ok youll have to wait a few months for this cure but when baby comes and you have all those stinky nappies to change you wont want to go near those finger nails just in case!!!

Sorry girls, should have clarified that, its not for me its for mrwarpig, he is constantly biting them and has done for years. But now they are mis-shapen and he also grazes on the skin at the sides too so they can be quite painful but still he persists.

So besides chopping of his fingers or as was my thought - some sort of remote control electric shock (mild) device I could zap him with, my new question is...............

How do I get mrwarpig to wear false nails to school without the kids or other teachers taking the p*iss out of him?

I guess if I got him to wear a dress and stillettoes that would take the attention off his nails, mmmmmm.

Will have a look in Boots today for that ointment (though have a feeling he may have tried it before) and failing that I will get him some nice nail polish and maybe a lipstick too.
Oh well if its mr warpig............a good slap round the back of the head every time you catch him might help!

Can you tell Im in one of those moods today? lol
Question Author
LOL pyschick, I know the feeling!!!!!

As for slapping him, I would never be done, I actually watched him the other night and the only time there wasn't a finger in his mouth was when he had one up his nose or in his ears! Actually the removal of digits is looking rather attractive now!
well you can still get mrwarpig changing nappies!!
I like youre thinking redcrx! I bet his face would be a picture if he forgot to wash his hands after a really gooey nappy and bit his nails! lol

fingers crossed you are right Redcrx, lets just hope he isn't one of these gordon Ramsay types who doesn't do nappies!
MAVALA STOP biting!!! it is fantastic, go on to Mavala website (google it) and order a bottle, my blokes boss told me about it and irts evenb worse than what Boots sell, i am 23 and have bitten my nails since i was 10, i tried hypnosis CD's and all sorts but this polish really works!
