I it's worked for some people i know, but not for others. Sally Hansen does a nail strengthener (you can buy it from boots) which is quite good, but can't remeber what it's called off the top of my head. It's transparent pink, and you paint it on your nails every day for 10 days, just keep building it up layer on layer. It does work, i've tried it.
Mine go like this sometimes ..they are fine in the summer but as soon as the cold weather starts they start to get dry and break . Keep them well moisturised . Nails need moisture to keep them flexible .
Plenty of hand and nail cream and rubber gloves for things where you have your hands in water a lot .
Almond oil rubbed in a couple of times a week does help Any oil really ..olive oil will do .Or put some oil in a little dish and soak your nails in it for about ten minutes every week.
Also try and get a nail hardener that doesn't contain formaldehyde .The ones that do dry your nails even more with prolonged use.
