How to curl eyelashes

Heres my problem!!I have long eyelashes,I curl them with a heated curler and they look great(for about 20 mins)If I put mascara on they droop and make me look like I'm stoned ,almost as if the mascara weighs them down.I have tried countless types of mascara and just cannot find one which curls them and keeps them curled.I thought about having my eyelashes permed but read that this can make them snap and become very brittle.Has anyone got any ideas on what I can do to keep them curled or suggest a really good mascara.

Have you tried curling them AFTER you've applied mascara? I find that works best, but give it time to dry first.

Bathsheba,Thanks for that but yes I have tried curling after(not with heated curlers)and that doesn't work either!!!

I put mascara on and let it dry then use a heated eyelash curler. Mine stay curled until I remove my mascara.x

Haven't ever used my heated curlers after as I have horrible visions of the mascara melting and my curler becoming joined to my eyelashes!!!May give it a go.Thanks for that Katie.

I don't even use heated curlers- I just blast ordinary ones with hairdryer for a few seconds! Seems to work fine!

have you been to your local beauty salon to see if they do eyelash perming i am a beauty therapist and love doing this treatment it lasts about 4-6 weeks and lookes great when it is done the cost is about �20 i hope this helps

I would use metal eyelash curlers and heat them up with the hairdryer, then put on mascara and curl them before it dries, cos then it will dry in a curled position...

ive never done this but I have the same problem, I never bother curling my eyelashed although im going to start agian. This just sounds like it might work.
