Teeth whitening

Hello all, I am seriously considering having my teeth whitened. Has anyone any advice on this ? Is laser treatment the best ? If you've had any professional whitening I would love to hear about it, good or bad.

I had Zoom Teeth Whitening about 18 months ago, it cost about �299 and was the most unpleasant experience.

I had to sit in a chair, whilst some gel was put onto my teeth, then a guard was put into my mouth to keep my upper and lower lip away from the teeth. The gel did cause a little burning to under my top lip. Then an ultra violet light was shone directly at the teeth, I had to sit there, keeping my head still for an hour.

After, the guard was removed and the whitening gel rinsed off, my teeth felt ultra sensitive, I couldn't eat anything or drink anything, except through a straw for about 24 hours and had to take Nurofen for the pain.

As for the results, my teeth weren't particularly stained in the first place, but I did expect much better results. I didn't really feel the whitening treatment made any great difference.

Hi,
I have also had a similar teeth whitening system. Have to say I was not that impressed at all. Yes they were a bit whiter - but not enough to justify the cost of the treatment. A friend also had the treatment - and within a couple of months it looks like she had not had them done. Not impressed.
Would be interested to see what others think.

Hi i had laser teeth whitening! I was done in one hour, the results were pretty good. My teeth went around 8 shades lighter, i was quite shocked coz my teeth weren't really yellow 2 begin with! I was told that the yellower the teeth the better the result! I won't lie 2 u, i was in agony all the way through coz my teeth r quite sensitive. Painful, but wort it!! I'd have it done again, defo!!!!
