What is the correct way to apply highlighter?

Someone has brought me a really nice compact with highlighter in and I don't really know what it is for or how to apply it - does it go under or on top of blusher and is it to make your cheek bones stand out or shine?

Hi terambulan, its really light/pale and its just called highlighter.

OOPs! Apply with blusher brush or cotton wool/cotton wool balls.

you can use a brush/your finger and just dab a small amount along your cheek bone to make them stand out, or under your eyebrow (under the arch) to emphasis your eye area!Just careful not to put to much on!
