Mascara Tips!
Hello,
I always put mascara on my lower eye lashes, and regardless of which brand I use, it always seems to smudge and run after a few hours.
Have tried a bit of foundation under my eyes but nothing seems to stop the smudging.
Any ideas?

when does it smudge is it like a few minutes after you've put it on or is it hours ? 'cause if its minutes maybe your mascara just takes a while to set, if so try not to let you bottom lashes touch you skin for a while, you could do this by putting your head down and only your eyes looking up, this way you can look in the mirror too. and if its even better apply the mascara this way. :)
or i suppoze you could get some different mascara, or even water-proof mascara. !

When I buy a new mascara, I keep my old one to use for my lower lashes,as it's dryer and less messy. Newer ones are too wet for lower lashes. I am a make up artist and have never found it a problem really. Try putting some dark eyeshadow under your lower lashes (not all the way to the nose end if you want your eyes to look bigger). That way, you shouldn't need as much mascara anyway. Finally, try Blinc mascara. You might have to buy it online. It never runs, smudges or anything.
Hi, jo3anna. I always had the same problem: my lower lashes are long, so I found myself always rubbing at the black smudges under my eyes throughout the day.
I do exactly the same as pastafreak and it's the only thing that works (tried changing mascaras loads of times before trying it, though). I haven't had a smudge ever since and the skin under my eyes is a lot better for not being pulled at all day.

My lower lashes are long too and leave me with the panda look, I eventually stopped putting mascara on the lowers lashes, however, I think I might just give it a bash again with translucent powder.
My top lashes are so long that it makes wearing sunglasses uncomfortable, I can feel them rubbing the lens every time I blink, It's annoying.

Hi!
I always had this exact problem, but my mascara ran out and I bought MaxFactor Masterpiece waterproof mascara and it is amazing! I'd worn it once before at a cheerleading competition, got very hot, did a huge routine, wept buckets for ages when we won and it didn't even smudge a little bit. It really has got amazing staying power. The only thing is it's quite hard to remove it all, but if that's something you don't mind then I highly recommend it.
